Our Senior Pet Fair Dogs Available for Adoption On Sept 12th
We will be featuring 5 available dogs at the senior pet fair. In addition, other rescues will be attending with special needs or senior pets, even cats. Remember that we will be having special events for your senior pet, and even some special events for kids!
Oops, we forgot Lilo, a 2-3 year old Lhasa/Shih Tzu mix that is a puppy mill survivor. Sorry, no photo available at this time!
Reba, Lilo,Glenda, and Baby Mama have all been adopted. Pacifica and Nautica are currently available.
Pacifica is a 6-7 year old Poodle mix
Baby Mama is one of the last puppy mill rescues. She has raised her babies and is looking for a home of her own
Reba is a 5lb, 6 year old puppy mill survivor that needs you to love her and show her the way!
Glenda is an 18 month old Boston Terrier that is recovering from a fracture in her right front leg.
Nautica is a 5-6 year old Pug/Poodle mix.
Puppy Day at Paws at Play on August 15th!
The New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter is thrilled to announce another dog friendly event happening in our community. On August 15th, from 10am – 2pm, we will be hosting an adoption event geared towards PUPPIES at our Paws at Play facility located at 709 Lewis & Clark Parkway, Clarksville, IN.
We will have our adoptable puppies at this location, including some assorted small breed puppies from our mill dog rescue in June. All adopters will have to go through an application process, and not all puppies will be able to leave that day. We hope to have additional puppies from other area rescues!
Booths will be set up by a few area dog related businesses, giveaways, and a kid friendly “special†duck pond game will be available. In addition, a story reading and meet and greet from some puppy mill survivors will be held at 1:00pm.
Don’t miss this special event. If you’re looking for a puppy or just some fun, Paws at Play is the place to be on August 15th . All puppies will be current on vaccinations, microchipped, and altered. All these are included in the $80 adoption fee!

Some of these dogs are more special needs than others, but they all need a home with lots of love and patience.

Puppy Mill Mom needs your help!
Reba is an older Chihuahua female that had to have an emergency C-section to deliver her 5 puppies. After the surgery, it took some intense care to keep Reba and all her puppies alive. The shelter has depleted our medical funds, and needs your help to pay for saving this dog and her puppies. If you can donate, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Reba’s puppies are almost 2 weeks old, and it looks like they are all going to survive!
