Game of Homes

In honor of National Dog Day, the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter will be hosting The Game of Homes!

On Saturday, August 26th, we will have a large group of puppies available for your adoption pleasure.

All adopters bringing a new dog home will be eligible to draw a prize.  Our white queen puppy, Daenerys Targaryen, will be ruling the throne that day, while she waits for Jon Snow, Robb Stark, Bran Stark, Rickon Stark, Davos Seaworth and Arya Stark and more, to “bend the knee”.

All dogs adopted from the New Albany Animal Shelter are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations at the time of adoption, and heartworm tested negative if old enough. Our $80 adoption fee provides a great value, plus on Saturday all dog adopters will draw for a surprise gift!

Total Eclipse of the Cat

August 21st, 2017 will be a unique day. There will be a total eclipse of the cat at the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter. Walk into the shelter, no glasses required, and watch as your heart aligns with those of the cats seeking a home.

This is a once in a lifetime event for people and it can be for black cats, too. It can be the day they find their forever home with no adoption fee! Across the country, black cats stay in shelters much longer than any other color. Help us shine some light on these precious faces and adopt today.

All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, Felv/FIV tested negative, and current on vaccinations. Adoption hours are from noon to 4PM. Limit one per household.
