Go Chief Go!

Chief is a 5-year-old Beagle/Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been at the shelter for over 40 days! He was an owner surrender when his family decided they didn’t have time for him anymore and he was left to bark all day alone in their home. He’s super smart and sweet but has a few quirks. His previous owner said that he would resource guard high value edible items but was fine when fed alone.
He’s never lived with dogs but he does seem to do okay existing with them here, although he is a wee bit reactive on leash. He’s incredibly affectionate to people who listen to him when he gets uncomfortable. Chief must go to a home without small children.
Lucci is Looking for Love!

HEY! I’m Lucci, pronounced Lew-Chee, like Gucci with an L! You better be excited to meet me because I am BEYOND stoked to meet you. I was brought to The New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter when my previous family didn’t think I was the right fit for them anymore. I was pretty bummed at first because I loved them a lot but now, I’m ready to pounce on my new best friends and live my best life. I’m about 60lbs of love and energy. I could power an entire city with how much my tail wags.
I used to live with two little kids but I didn’t like that very much. Don’t get me wrong, they were a lot of fun, but I guess I was too much for them. I’m learning some manners while I’m waiting for you to take me home but the staff here says that I would do best in a home with older kids. I prefer to be left alone while I’m sleeping or munching on a super dope snack. I love love love other dogs but I come in pretty hard and fast which I know not all dogs will appreciate so if you’ve got a dog at home, I’d sure love to meet them before we make this thing official.
