Rook is a energetic little Jack Russell. We estimated him to be about 9 years old, but he doesn’t act like it! He also LOVES water. He will chase it, bite it, jump in it, and anything else you can do with a water hose! He is already neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and current on vaccines. His adoption fee is only $80! Come see this peppy guy today at the New Albany Animal Shelter!

Let’s Learn About Dog Safety!

The Shelter does so much more than adopting and sheltering animals and providing animal control services. We also educate the public on pet safety and responsibility.

It is so crucial to start this education early. Children are fascinated by animals and have a natural curiosity about them. This can lead to trouble if the child does not know what to do in situations that may arise with stray animals, or even animals that are with their owners.

Not Just for Easter

Everyone loves the cute little chicks and the fluffy little bunnies found at pet stores and farm stores. What little kid wouldn’t want one for Easter?

It is so important that parents understand that the purchase of any of these “Easter Babies” is a purchase of a pet.

Animal Control Authority Board Meeting  will be Thursday, March 19th at 4:30pm here at the Shelter.

Ramsey is an adorable little min pin mix. Even though he looks and acts like a  puppy, he is actually about a year and  a half old. He is already neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and current on vaccinations. His adoption fee is only $80. Please visit his at the New Albany Animal Shelter to see this happy little guy in action.
