Join us February 20th through the 25th for an award show unlike any other. Fur coats will be the hottest style on this red carpet! Four CATegories are up for grabs – Longest Time in Showbiz, Best Dressed, Best Comedy, and Best Drama. The four winners will receive a new home with no adoption fees! All other nominees will receive half off of their adoption fee! Only cats that weigh over 4lbs will be considered for the awards. We have narrowed down the “Best Dressed†to only two cats, but we need your help choosing. Visit our Facebook page and vote! All winners will be announced February 18th. Look for pictures of the red carpet styles on our Instagram account, nafcanimalshelter.
This promotion would not be possible without the Floyd County Animal Rescue League.

Posted by: shelter | Posted on: February 7, 2017Cayanne has been adopted!
Cayanne is just the right amount of sweet and spicy in a furbaby! She is a stunning young tortoiseshell that is about 7 months old. She loves to chase toys around the room for hours of entertainment. When that is done, she is ready to snuggle in closely and relax. She does well with other animals once she gets used to them being around and knows she is safe.  She is already spayed, microchipped, Felv/FIV tested negative, and current on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is only $20. Visit her at the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter today and let her be your Valentine! More adoptable animals by clicking the “Adoptable Animals” tab above.
Humane Lobby Day 2017
Posted by: shelter | Posted on: February 1, 2017Yesterday, two staff members went to the Indianapolis State House to personally talk with our Senators and Representatives about a few bills that are going through the process of (hopefully) becoming law that will help protect the animals in our community. It is VERY important for our legislators to hear from their constituents about what they feel is important and their thoughts on the different bills. We encourage everyone to contact your state legislators and politely and respectfully urge them to support these three bills- SB306, HB1085, and HB1332. Below is a description of these three bills.
