Pet of the Week: Poppy

Posted by: | Posted on: September 23, 2015

PoppyPoppy is such a sweet Boxer that has already been through so much in her estimated 5 years of life! Originally, she came to the Shelter as a stray. After finding out that she had a severely broken jaw, The Arrowfund graciously took her in to get her the help she needed. After amputation of part of her lower jaw the vet found some masses that ended up being cancerous. Those were removed and she was spayed without any further complications. Her foster family ended up not being a good fit for her because it turns out that she does not do well with other dogs, and can be a bit of an escape artist. The New Albany Animal Shelter now has Poppy in their care and for visitations, but adoptions would still be completed through the Arrowfund. She is so affectionate with people and can get attached very easily. Please help this girl get out of the Shelter and into the forever home that she deserves! For more information or to contact the Arrowfund about adoption, please visit, www.thearrowfund.org.
