Animals rescued after Alabama tornadoes head to Indiana and Kentucky for Adoption

Dozens of animals left homeless by the spring tornadoes in Alabama have arrived in Kentucky and southern Indiana where shelters have agreed to take care of them.

The Kentucky Humane Society and the New Albany-Floyd County Animal Shelter both received animals that have been  unclaimed by their owners. Here at the NAFC Animal Shelter, we accepted 9 dogs and 11 cats. These animals will begin becoming available next week after they have been spayed or neutered. In the meantime, we have lots of other dogs and cats waiting for a home! You can help the tornado dogs by adopting a shelter animal today, to help free up space for incoming animals!
