Total Eclipse of the Cat
August 21st, 2017 will be a unique day. There will be a total eclipse of the cat at the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter. Walk into the shelter, no glasses required, and watch as your heart aligns with those of the cats seeking a home.
This is a once in a lifetime event for people and it can be for black cats, too. It can be the day they find their forever home with no adoption fee! Across the country, black cats stay in shelters much longer than any other color. Help us shine some light on these precious faces and adopt today.
All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, Felv/FIV tested negative, and current on vaccinations. Adoption hours are from noon to 4PM. Limit one per household.

Please help this big ol’ ray of sunshine find a home! Pheobe is a very sweet and loving girl that is about 10 1/2 years old. She was surrendered to the shelter when her family could no longer afford to care for her aging body. She does have some older dogs issues such as a little arthritis and some allergy issues. She doesn’t let these things get her down! She is already spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and heartworm tested negative! Her adoption fee has been sponsored so that she may find her forever home a little easier! Please visit her at the at the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter today!Â
