SAVE THE DATE -DOG DAYS AT THE DRIVE IN

It’s that time of year again! On June 14th, the Georgetown Twin Drive-In Theater is opening its gates to four legged family members, allowing dogs on leash to attend for a $2.00 admission fee.  All dog admission fees collected will be donated to the NAFC Animal Shelter.

The Drive-In’s main feature will be Dreamwork’s, How to Train your Dragon 2!

WHY DO CATS SCRATCH?

Cats like to scratch! Scratching is a normal part of cat behavior and serves several functions, including conditioning the claws, providing a means of stretching, and acting as a marker (both olfactory, or scent, and visual).  The act of scratching actually removes frayed and worn outer claws, exposing new, sharper ones. However, what is normal cat behavior can become frustrating to deal with for cat owners — particularly when the cat in question starts destroying furniture or even scratching members of the family.

P.A.W.S. ROCK THE RIVERFRONT

The New Albany Animal Shelter and FCARL are joining hands again with Cabo Wabo to bring you another P.A.W.S.  Rock the Riverfront Concert in September.

This year, there will also be a concert the night before, and a Dog Walk the morning of.  Proceeds of the Dog Walk will go towards the funds needed to build a dog park in our community.

Keep an eye on our website and future newsletters for more details on this weekend of fun!
