Bolt Update

Bolt is doing great in foster care! Someone forgot to tell her that she has only has three legs now! Her stitches will be coming out on Thursday, and she will be looking for her forever home  at that time! Bolt will do best in a single  level home, so stairs do not put undue stress on her other legs. Watch for new pictures!

Boomer is struggling with life at the shelter! ADOPTED!!!

Boomer needs love!

Boomer has been at the shelter for too long and is struggling with life here! He has been here since he lost his home in July, and he is starting to lose weight and injure himself in the kennels.

Boomer is not the best with other dogs, but loves to snuggle with people. He would be best with an older person looking for a companion. As I write this, he is sitting on my back in the computer chair!

This little monkey needs love!

Please spread the word to anyone you know that’s looking for a small dog. Boomer needs a home ASAP!

Boomer has found a forever home!

Can You Help Bolt?

Can u help us save this cat?

BOLT

Bolt is a gorgeous dilute calico that entered the shelter with a fracture in her right rear leg. The severity of the fracture has caused her leg to actually be completely reversed in position. Throughout everything her attitude has stayed calm and loving, and we feel she would make a wonderful addition to a special home!

Bolt’s best chance at a normal life is to have her leg amputated. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday, and we hope to raise the necessary funds! Any amount can help! Donations can be mailed to:  NAFC Animal Shelter,  The  Bolt Fund, 215 W Market St,  New Albany, In 47150

PayPal Donations are also always accepted through the website. Thanks for your generosity and help saving this little sweetheart!

UPDATE: Bolt’s surgery has been rescheduled for Monday, October 11th. She needs a few more days of antibiotics to prepare for surgery.

Happy Tail Feature Story: Marlee

Ferbie is a Lab Mix  that is several years old.  She came into the shelter late last summer.  In the Fall,  her new family came in, fell in love, and took her home.  Her name is now Marlee.  Cayden, 4, loves his new friend.  They are best buddies! They do everything that they can do together- including rolling in the grass!

Marlee is a great dog, for a great home.  She has become a very loyal companion for her family.  She is the center of attention at family cookouts sometimes! That doesn’t bother Marlee one bit! She also doesn’t mind that she still gets to see her neighbor who helped take care of her while she was looking for her home.  Just one more Happy Tail from the New Albany Animal Shelter!
