Sponsors Needed!

As a pet and animal lover, are you wanting to help someone in your community experience the love and gratitude offered by a pet? Are you looking to honor a pet or animal lover’s memory? Look no further than the New Albany Animal Shelter!

The highly successful “Twelve Strays of Christmas” adoption campaign is currently accepting donations for adoption sponsorships. Sponsorships allow us to feature our difficult to place animals as free adoptions, and make great gifts for the pet lovers in our lives. Cat sponsorships are $50, while a dog sponsorship is $110. The extra amount helps cover the cost of advertisement to maximize the “strays” exposure. Last year we adopted 30 animals through this program! This year’s “First Strays of Christmas” will be announced on December 7th and appear on Great Day Live on WHAS.

All adoptions done during the 12 Strays of Christmas will also include a special “Homes 4 the Holidays” portfolio with coupons and an extra gift! The traditional “12 Days of Christmas” song has been modified to the “12 Strays of Christmas”. Each adopter will get the item that is in the new song for that day! For example- “On the fourth stray of Christmas my new home gave to me, four squeaky toys!” Each adopter will get a squeaky toy for their newly adopted friend.

Join us in helping the thousands of homeless animals across the country find their forever homes this holiday season by giving the gift that keeps giving. Adopt a shelter pet, donate, or volunteer.

Contact the New Albany Animal Shelter at 812-948-5355 for more information about the Twelve Strays of Christmas program. Watch the shelter’s website for pictures of each stray!
