The next session will be starting on October 7th! – sign-up now!

One of the top reasons families relinquish their dogs to a shelter is due to behavior issues. The New Albany Floyd County Animal Control and Shelter recognizes this and is now offering affordable dog training classes for our adopters. This 8 week course includes basic obedience, beginning agility and one evening for a Pet First Aid Class  taught by Sara Beavin, a certified Pet First Aid Trainer with the American Red Cross. Classes will be held on Sunday evening for 8 weeks from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Hillside in Floyds Knobs, IN!  The classes are $20.00 if you have adopted your pet from the NAFC Animal Control and Shelter.

Stop by the shelter and register for class or for more information call 948-5355. The first class is an orientation and will include a class on “Bonding Through Massage” for you and your dog to enjoy. We will address collars, leashes, rules, and do paperwork. Please bring your dog,  paperwork, proper collar and leash, and $20 cash!

See our Dog Training Page for more information and available forms.
