Hello! Thanks so much to everyone who took a few minutes from your day yesterday to speak out for Indiana’s dogs by contacting the members of the Committee that was scheduled to hear the dog fighting bill (making it a felony to be a spectator at an animal fighting contest).

 We are happy to report that the  dog fighting bill  passed out of committee 5-4 this morning! Thanks so much to the outstanding folks from Casa Del Toro, Laurie Adams & Dale Douglass, for testifying on the bill before the Committee!

We need calls & emails asap as the bill will now move before the full Senate. It is critical that all of you contact your state senator today or tomorrow and urge him or her to vote YES on Senator Arnold’s dog fighting bill, Senate Bill 11.

Once you determine who represents you in the State Senate, please contact him/her – you could say something along the lines of:

“Hello, my name is _______________ and I am a constituent calling from Senator ________________’s District in ______________ (city/town), Indiana. I am urging you to please vote YES on Senator Arnold’s dog fighting bill, Senate Bill 11, as it passed out of committee. Thank You.”

Unlike yesterday, today you will only need to contact one Senator – the State Senator who represents you (see link above). And just a friendly reminder to make sure you’re contacting your State Senator – NOT our Federal Senators, Lugar &/or Coates.
