Update: Dog Days at the Drive in on July 13th
Posted by: shelter | Posted on: July 12, 2012We are excited to again host Dog Days at the Georgetown Twin Drive In on Friday, July 13th, thanks to the generosity of the owner, Bill Powell. This is a premier family and dog friendly event! Dogs will be admitted for a $2 admission fee, along with standard admission fees for their two legged friends.
All proceeds benefit the NAFC Animal Shelter!ÂThe following rules apply for bringing your dog in with you:
1. All dogs must be on a leash at all times if they are outside a vehicle. NO EXPANDABLE LEASHES PLEASE.
2. All dogs must be current on rabies and properly licensed. Please have paperwork with you to verify current rabies vaccination and licensing if asked. Tags are not proof of vaccination or licensing. Vaccinations against infectious diseases are also recommended for your dogs protection.
3. Dogs displaying aggression or not leashed may be asked to leave and must exit the premises immediately. Dogs that create disturbances by barking excessively will also be dismissed from the premises. If your dog is removed from the property, no refunds will be issued.
4. Any dog displaying signs of illness will not be admitted or asked to leave the property if discovered later.
We will have dog related vendors set up, adoptable animals from area rescues, raffle items, goodie bags for the first fifty dogs that enter, and a dog agility demonstartion by TNT Agility from Sellersburg, Indiana.
Special events and treats will also be available for dogs and children! The NAFC Animal Shelter will hold a coloring contest for the kids, with prizes and special gifts. Each entry will have a $1 entry fee. A jump house and bounce slide will provide great fun for the kids for a free will donation, and we will have special treats. Snowcones for kids and dogs will be available for purchase, along with cotton candy for kids, and peanut butter cups for the pooches.  Â
